To sit,
to stay,

A quiet invitation
to peace.
The world is louder
division sharpened like blades,
anger echoing in every corner
of our digitized lives.
But I remain a pacifist.
Not out of passivity,
but purpose.
I do not believe we were born
to hate one another.
I believe we are one breath
away from remembering
we belong to each other.
Throwing fire on fire
only darkens the sky.
To work together is not weakness—
it is the deepest kind of strength.
Let us not shout across the silence.
Let us listen
within it.
Let us walk,
softly,
as Thich Nhat Hanh, my hero, once did
each step a prayer
for the world we can still create.
